8. Egypt: Return to the Nile

Oct 28: Depart from New York JFK airport to Cairo on Egypt Air

Oct 29: Arrive in Cairo. Meet and greet upon arrival in airport. Assistance with entry visa, passport control, immigration, luggage claim and customs. Transfer to the Mena House hotel and enjoy dinner.

Oct 30: Visit the Pyramids of Giza, Giza Plateau, tombs of Ido & Kar and the Solar boat. Enjoy a Panoramic view of the Giza Plateau, visit the Sphinx and Valley temple.

Oct 31: Visit the Egyptian Museums and Old Cairo (Hanging Church, Abu Serga Chuch, Ben Azra Synagogue and Amr Ibn el Aas Mosque.

Nov 1: Visit Saqqara and Dahsure. Enjoy a home hosted Egyptian dinner at the Fayed home.

Nov 2: Fly to Luxor and overnight in Luxor hotel.

Nov 3: Visit the temples of Abydos and Dendara.

Nov 4: Visit Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens including Nefertari’s Tomb and Hatshepsut’s temple.

Nov 5: Check out of hotel and visit Karnack temples. Check in Nile Cruise and enjoy lunch. In the evening visit Luxor temple. Sail to Edfu.

Nov 6:  Visit Edfu temple and sail to Kom Ombo. Visit Kom Ombo temple and sail to Aswan.

Nov 7: Visit Philae temple and the unfinished Obelisk. In the afternoon enjoy a long Felucca ride.

Nov 8: Checkout of Nile Cruise and fly to Abu Simbel. Visit the temples of Abu Simbel and fly to Cairo. Overnight in a hotel near the airport.

Nov 9: Visit the perfume factory and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening a private visit to the Great Pyramid.

Nov 10: Fly back to New York or optional day trip to Alexandria to see catacombs, new library, and site of Pharos light house.

$5,400 all inclusive including airfare from New York JFK and flights within Egypt. All transportation, lodging, Luxury Nile cruise, admissions, and one of Egypt’s top guides are included.

Nov 10: Drive from Cairo to Alexandria and visit the Catacombs, Pompay’s Pillar and the Alexandria national Museum.   Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerAlexandria hotel: Sheraton Alexandria Montaza Hotel.

Nov 11: Visit the Roman Amphitheater and the library of Alexandria. Relax by the Mediterranean Sea and Qait Bay’s Citadel before heading back to Cairo.  Check in a hotel near the airport.   Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Nov 12: Transfer to Cairo international airport for final departure.     Breakfast
